Protest at Penny's - Palestinian Prisoners Day

Join the Australian Friends of Palestine Association (AFOPA) outside Senator Penny Wong’s Office on Palestinian Prisoners Day. We will be demanding that the Australian government: - Publicly acknowledge Israel’s human rights violations and insist that Israel cease all torture and ill treatment of Palestinian prisoners. - Demand immediate protections for Palestinians in Israeli prisons including repealing the apartheid death penalty laws which apply exclusively to Palestinians. - Trigger accountability measures under the Geneva Convention, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Convention against Torture and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. - Sanction Israel for its crimes against humanity and systemic use of torture When: 12-1pm, Friday 17 April Where: 19 Gouger Street, Adelaide (Outside Senator Penny Wong’s Office) |
